June
Lot's of catching up to do so I'm just going with the pictures I have and writing whatever I remember when I look at these little snapshots of our life. Here goes...
Our biggest girl finished Kindergarten. Like her first real school year. Pre-K was fun last year, but Kindergarten just seems so much more official. She's a bonafide school girl now. Her teacher was unbelievably amazing and I don't think anyone else will ever measure up to the beloved Mrs. Ramage. Ava has a big white binder full of all of her favorite projects, papers, writings, and notes from her teacher and classmates. Her Kindergarten Graduation was just what we expected. Her class sang the "Florida Alphabet" and each child got their moment to walk across the stage and shake their teacher's hand.
End of the year gift from her teacher. How perfect?!
Piano time with Gramma
One afternoon while Lia was working on the computer it got really quiet. I peeked in the office to find this:
A visit from some cousins and all I have is a picture of the girls with Jordan in the tub. What a lousy picture taker...
Father's Day we spent the day at Animal Kingdom. Thank you Stephen for getting us the discount price (since we went with Simon's cub scouts), thank you to Mimi for coming along to spend the day with us, and thank you to Gramma for staying home with Joey. We really had a great day. Hope Anthony did too, since it was supposed to be all about him. ;)
This was the safari ride. Interesting fact: it is as bumpy of a ride as you would expect on a safari. When we went to Animal Kingdom last March Lia was two and a half. We rode the safari and she fell fast asleep as we bumped our way through the ride. Sure enough, she was asleep by the time the ride ended this time too. We went on it again later in the day so that she could finally see the animals.
Leaving the park..

And the end of June will now always hold the birthday of this special little guy.
His Baseball birthday party was a success. What started out to be a small family get together turned into a really fun day. It was a typical Summer backyard party - hot with sweaty kids jumping in the bounce house and chasing each other, hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, snacking on popcorn and cracker jacks, cold drinks from the cooler, and an afternoon rain to cool us off.
I L-O-V-E-D getting to work with a boy theme for the first time. Lots of little details that were so fun to do...
Joey is so important in our family puzzle. He makes us complete. And he has a special piece of my heart - something only a mommy of a boy understands.
