Big Girl Bed

So the other day, for some reason, Ava and Lia asked to get into Lia's crib (before Ava was sick). They each had a baby and were just playing, pretending to sleep with their baby dolls. I didn't have my camera with me that time, but I saw Lia grab on to one of the ends of the crib and then hoist herself up. I know she's a little climber, but I didn't realize that she could do THAT!

So we finally decided to take down the crib... now that it is a safety issue. I told her to get in and show me how she climbs on her crib so I could snap a few shots of her in action.









Thankfully, her big girl bed was all ready for her. So on Sunday, we watched Daddy take the crib apart. We all kept saying "bye-bye crib". Lia is SO amazing. She transitioned so well (at least so far). That day she took a 2-hour nap in her big girl bed. And she has spent two full nights sleeping in her bed. It's so cute now to have the girls sleeping in the same room, with their beds next to each other. Eventually it will be nice to do bunk beds, so there's more floor space, but its just so cute for now.
