School Days!
Monday morning we woke up and began the first day of our back to school routine. Our end of summer mornings, where the girls were FINALLY starting to sleep in, are over. Now we wake up before 7, get everyone dressed, eat breakfast, pack lunches, (can you believe I even snuck in a bike ride on Tuesday morning?!), and get out the door in time to drop Lia off at Gramma's house and then drop Ava off at school. FUN FUN FUN
This was such an easy transition for Ava. Thankfully she was able to start at this preschool last year and became familiar with all of the staff. This year, her teacher from last year moved up to the Pre-k class, so Ava gets the SAME teacher. She was so excited to have Ms. Deb again. This time she's in a new classroom. It's much smaller than last year, with only 8 students.
A few pics from the first day:
A kiss from daddy as we get ready to leave.
Holding her plant she got for Ms. Deb.
"Welcome to Pre-K starring...Ava!"
Are these tired eyes already?
By her cubby (or is it cubbie?)
In the reading center (she did this pose totally on her own - much to the other mothers' amusement).
The first few days have been GREAT, except for one small set back. Monday morning she came home with the sniffles already. School year germs, runny noses and colds, here we come...
