School's out!
Ava is officially done with preschool (at least her 3-year-old class). The last week of school they played with water toys, sprinklers, and had an Aloha party. Now Ava knows how to wave her hands to the side, sway her hips, and say "a - loh - hah"...
Oh how we loved that school. Thankfully we'll be back again next Fall for pre-k!
It took her about a week of waking up in the morning and asking "is today school?" for her to catch on that she is on Summer break.
Last Friday we decided last minute to pack up and head to the beach. It was extra fun because Daddy came along - which means Ava gets to go with him in the water and jump over the waves! Both girls ended up taking a snooze under the umbrella (in our arms of course). It was another perfect beach day. After we rinsed off as much sand as we could, we went across the street to eat at Rocky's pizza (and probably left a pile of sand there too).
The girls are amazing. It me the other day how we have become an interactive family of four. You know, now that Lia has started communicating (even if it's only a few words). They actually talk, listen, and giggle together. No more holding Lia while she sleeps/nurses during dinner. She's right there in the action - joining in on our conversation.
