Ten-Picture Tuesday

Ava is getting better at writing. Look at these nice capital A's and lowercase a. She is starting to learn more letters at school, but when she sees the letter A she still says, "Look my name!"

She's also bringing home some pretty crafty items. There was even a Chinese lantern and dragon from last week's celebration of the Chinese New Year. And of course everything must be displayed.

Monday's are wonderful evenings at our house. Mostly because I don't have to work. We always have a yummy dinner because Monday mornings are when I go grocery shopping. The girls play, we eat, we take baths, and then we get ready for bed. If only I was a normal mom who got to spend every evening with her kids. Last night, Ava was very busy setting her up "babies". She kept moving these little chairs into other rooms and then she would line them up and bring in her babies and ask me to take their picture. Look how they are perfectly sitting here with their plates. Photobucket

Photobucket Yes, she is only wearing panties in these pictures. I begged her to get dressed, but she refused. This is why we have our heat up to 75 degrees.

And then we have Lia. The amazing climber. We have moved her crib to the lowest setting. This is because in a matter of 48 hours we saw her climb into the bathtub (ALMOST) all by herself, climb into a rocking chair and STAND on it, climb ONTO the little white table...

...climb up to the top step of Ava's step stool (I looked away from her to talk to Ava and in a matter of SECONDS this is what I saw)...

So I grabbed my camera, which was within reach, and told Ava to stand next to her while I took a picture. After the picture there was a slight tumble...but everyone is okay. Not sure why my camera gave Lia a strange-colored right eye.

...and we also saw her first bloody lip. This is not related to the climbing at all. She was happily playing in the play room Monday morning, while daddy made breakfast. He heard a crash, then crying. When he walked into the room Ava was laying down on the floor and she nonchalantly said, "Lia fell all by herself". So he scooped up Lia, brought her to me, and she settled down in no time. Poor baby. Photobucket After I picked up Ava from school today (and got a lesson on Groundhog Day from my 3-year old), we came home to a package waiting for us. Ava quickly opened it up to find two thoughtful little gifts from Anthony's Godmother Rose. Ava said, "Now I can drink coffee like Daddy!" Thanks Rowy - your gifts are always so sweet.
