May 2013

May has been an exciting month for us. Lots of new things going on.

New friends meeting for dinner on our school spirit nights. Joey loves having all these girls dote all over him.

I've been back at the gym now for three months. A friend of mine encouraged me to participate in a mud run with her. This was the first "race" I've ever done...although, we did it more for fun than to worry about our time. Here we are before the race.
Not really much running, but there was a LOT of mud and obstacles.
Finally crossing the finish line.

And on Mother's Day we drove up to The Players' Championship. Great day with good friends.

A few weeks ago we had a small scare with Lia in the pool. She went under and didn't know what to do. Anthony got to her so fast that his cell phone dropped right into the water (oops), but at least she's okay. It shook us up more than it affected her. We realized the importance of water safety (and our kids' lack of those skills) so we signed all three of them up to take ISR swim lessons. If you don't know what that is, please google ISR and read all about it. After only a couple weeks of lessons this almost two year old is floating like a champ.
No more floaties in the pool!

Lately, on Friday mornings Lia, Joey, and I have been going to the open gym at our gymnastics gym (too many "gyms" in one sentence?).
Practicing jumps on the trampoline. Summer is so close I can almost taste it.
