Valentine's Day
I finally dusted off the old camera and started taking pictures again. Here we are making the Valentine's for Ava to take to school.
We spent a few weeks peeling paper off of old crayons (and let me tell you how glad I am that we started a couple of weeks in advance - it is HARD to get that paper off of crayola crayons).
We (I) chopped them up
And put them in this cute heart mold baking pan

Popped them in the oven for about 10 minutes and voila!
Kind of scary lifting it out of the oven and onto a flat surface. I kept having visions of dripping hot, rainbow-colored wax all over my kitchen floor. Thankfully, it didn't happen.
The hardest part was waiting for them to cool so we could pop them out of the mold. So I kept busy with this little guy.

They are ready!
Ava glued little doily's to paper hearts and then I hot-glued the crayon to it.

All in all, it was a pretty fun project. The girls loved it!
