October 2011
On the very last day of September Anthony and I went to Ava's school for the Student of the Month ceremony. Our Ava won Student of the Month for September. Her school works on a character trait every month and for September the trait was confidence. All month her class talked about confidence and what it means and then the teacher picked the student (Ava) who best displayed the trait. Ava got a special pin and a very nice letter written by her teacher.

The first weekend in October we went on a little trip to the other coast to visit Grandpa Tom. This was the first time he got to meet his one and only grandSON!

Mid-October we made our way to the pumpkin patch! Love these shots with the vibrant orange and fall colors.

Halloween came and went... it turned into a blur since it was right at the beginning of our family's sick season (which has continued to last for two weeks). But are these not the most beautiful princesses you've ever seen???
First we played dress up at home.

Then we started that dreadful trick-or-treating experience... It was dreadful because we got off to a late start which means it got dark sooner than usual during our route, it started raining, Ava's feet hurt, both girls weren't feeling good, Joey was hungry so I fed him while sitting on a sidewalk, and it was a school night.
