Living in Florida has its advantages. Like how Mickey Mouse and Cinderella's castle are always within reach. Before our little BOY arrives, we wanted to make some fun memories for the girls. So we saved up, scouted around for some deals, and decided a Disney World vacation was the answer. How can you get more magical memories than that? And boy did we get some magical memories. We stayed at a vacation villa with Amy, Jimmy and Colin. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, dining, and living room and a beautiful view of the pool, lake, and mini-golf right from our huge lanai.

We arrived on a Friday and the girls immediately asked to go in the pool. In fact, Lia had been asking since the night before. So...without even grabbing my camera we threw them in swim suits and floaties and welcomed the start of our vacation in a warm heated pool. No pictures of this memory, but I did click a few of the two of them in the huge jacuzzi tub when we got back to our "room".

Saturday was the craziest, busiest day at the Magic Kingdom. The first park day is so overwhelming. It's like you're so excited to be there that you want to do everything at once. For some reason, we went straight to the Haunted Mansion for our first ride. This is one of those classic rides that we have to go on each time we're there. I don't know why I put my girls through it...the first ride the go on at Disney was scary. So after that we high-tailed it to "It's a small world" and everything was happy again. We jumped around from the different lands - frontierland, fantasyland, tomorrowland, main street for the parade, adventureland... My favorites from this day: our group of 7 wearing matching Mickey Mouse shirts, seeing Mickey and Minnie (this was a big deal since we had built it up so much to Lia), Ava getting excited about everything she saw, front row seats to the parades, and walking through a mob of people with Amy yelling "poopy diaper!" at the end of the night.

Only one picture so far from this day. I didn't take my camera and I'm waiting on more from Amy.

Sunday we were able to enter Hollywood Studios early due to our yummy breakfast reservation. We got to eat breakfast and visit with Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, and Leo and June from the Little Einsteins. Although it started out rough with Lia (it's hard to explain to a 2-year-old that we have to sit at our table and wait for Handy Manny to come to us), I was eventually able to eat and then leave with some happy kids.

Every 10 minutes or so, a lady would come out and get the kids amped up - singing songs from Playhouse Disney (I mean Disney Junior).

The breakfast was a great way to start the day. Other fun things from this day: watching the Playhouse Disney show LIVE!

Daddy enjoyed the ESPN zone events - seeing famous athletes (although I have no idea who they are):

Ava got to watch the Beauty and the Beast stage show with Aunt Amy while I watched Lia nap in the stroller, Indiana Jones, the Great Movie Ride, more pictures with Mickey Mouse, new Minnie Mouse necklaces for the girls, and leaving at a decent time...we were tired.

Monday we had to take a break from the parks. We spent the day being kinda lazy around the resort - mini golf, playing in the pool, taking a nap, and then a yummy dinner at our favorite Japanese steakhouse Kobe! Again... no pictures from this day. What is wrong with me?!?!?!

I'll have to update you on Tuesday and Wednesday later. For now it's back to work for me.
