Eat Food. Not Too Much. Mostly Plants.
I'm turning into an annoying blogger who only takes boring pictures. BUT, I just found these adorable little Jasmine plants and had to put them in the pots near our front door. Oh what a delicious smell. It makes me want to park my car in the garage, but then walk the extra 15 steps through the front door just so I can get a quick draft of that sweet scent.
I'll do a quick update on our garden. I REALLY need to thin out the lettuce soon - before it gets too crowded. And the beans are really taking off. They are already starting to wind themselves around the other plants so I'll be putting in a makeshift lattice for them to climb up. And the blueberry bushes are so fun. Every other day there are about 2-3 more "blue" blueberries - just waiting for little girl fingers to find them and plop them in their little girl mouths. Sometimes Lia takes a few (green) extra, but the tart flavor doesn't seem to bother her.
Today was our weekly pick up at Flagler Organics. Its been a month since we've joined the co-op and I'm so happy that I found it. We buy a half-share each week and we pick up a basket of goodies. Local (whenever possible), organic, fresh produce. We've been breaking out of our normal routine of eating the same basic fruits (bananas/apples/berries) and veggies (broccoli/green beans) over and over each week. Getting the varied produce from the co-op has added some interesting food to our menu - like leeks, rainbow chard, mango, and collard greens (still haven't cooked that one yet).

I love that sassy little look...
