Dear Lia,
Have I told you lately that I love you? I mean, really told you? In the blink of an eye you went from a smiley, happy baby who crawled all over us to a proud, little toddler who wobbles all over the house. You found your walking feet at 14 months. First a couple of steps here and there, and then you were off; chasing your sister, making an obstacle course out of the island in the kitchen, curiously exploring new textures under your feet like tile, carpet, and grass.
Sometimes, if you are really motivated, you wobble quite quickly, keeping your arms outstretched on either side of you to keep your balance. You wobble around saying "hot" in your whispery voice, and sometimes I can urge you to say "up" when you hold out your arms to me. These are your first words after "Dada" and "Mama". Although, sadly I have to admit that "Mama" only comes out when you're crying.
You bring us so much joy every day. Your laugh is infectious, your smile irresistable, and your babbling is one of the sweetest sounds I've heard. You show admiration (and patience) towards Ava, you show adoration towards Daddy, and you show me perfect contentment every time I cuddle and hold you close.
You add a new dimension to our family that I never knew was missing.
I love you!
