Whirlwind Weekend

At what seemed like the last minute, we decided to pack up and go with Gramma over to Amy's house for the weekend. Kyle was graduating from Saint Leo University and we wanted to share in his celebration. Also, it was our friend Lindsey's little girl Samantha's first birthday. So, instead of taking the girls to a college graduation ceremony, I drove an hour south and took them to Sammy's birthday party. There were so many little girls. Some of Ava's favorite parts were painting her ceramic cupcake outside, playing in Sammy's room while I had to feed Lia, eating her cupcake, and playing with the balloon on the drive back to Aunt Amy's house. Some of my favorite parts were seeing Lindsey and the birthday girl, watching Beth hold my sleeping Lia, and remembering Ava's first birthday everytime I saw little Sammy. Lindsey - it was an adorable party. Lots of love filled your house and I am so glad to have been there.
After we left the party on Saturday we drove back to North Port and met the graduation gang at Outback for dinner. Oh boy, that was delicious as always. Congratulations to Kyle! He earned his degree in Sociology. I remember finishing my Bachelor's. What an amazing feeling to know that you are done! Now on to the start of an exciting career...

Colin and Lia - he just loves her!

The graduate!

Lindsey and Lia - unfortunately Lia was a little cranky and hungry in this picture.

Busy painting her cupcake.

Can you see the streak of blue paint on her cheek?
The birthday girl in her cute outfit!

Ava didn't want to wear the hat
Beth holding my sleeping Lia.

Eating her cupcake!

Tummy time in Aunt Amy's pack n play.

I should have mentioned that Kyle went to college on a basketball scholarship for all four years. OH yeah - he's 6'7". He's the tallest one in our family. hehe
